A Lesson
I just learned an invaluable lesson from our son that I thought I would share on the cyberworld. Lets see if I can get it into the written word. Some background. Lots of life changes in our home over the past month. Lots of growing up, not necessarily referring to children in that sense, but mom and dad have had a lot of grey hair experiences. Today, I admit, I was having a bit of a sorry fest for myself. Struggling with that a bit as of late. So today was a typical day, add in that my two littlest are sick and a bit extra weepy at times. Bowyn fell down off his chair and started to wail. My response, very unmotherly, "Why did you do that?" Bowyn, "I fell down." Wail, wail, wail, mom epiphany. The point was not how or why he had fallen down. The point was that he had fallen and needed help getting back up.
