I can't believe that my baby boy is 2! The Wednesday before his bday I found out about free zoo day, so we headed up to see how the animals were fairing. Bowyn was so excited to see the cats. He has been practicing his roaring for months now and couldn't stop once he saw all of them. Of course most of the cats at the zoo are more winter acclimated, so they were much more active and visible then at other times of the year. This, of course, added to the excitement as they were very close up. Bowyn kept trying to touch them saying, "mommy, soft?" His other favorite was the giraffes. When we walked in the other kids ran and climbed up on the rail because the animals were close up and eating. Bowyn, being smaller, laid down on his tummy and tried to fit his head through the railing underneath, reaching his had out saying,"here raff, cumher raff." Christmas 2010

I know...I am really late. February of the new year is probably not the best time to post Christmas, but here it is. I have to blog about what hubby has been doing. He learns all sorts of interesting things at work with the latex gloves. Go ahead try it. It is not as easy as it looks! Also I am so grateful for his endurance with the girls at night when I am exhausted. He is faithful in getting their 30 minutes of reading in. Finally, it just wouldn't be home without some snow sculpture in our yard. With minimal time outside in the light he literally threw this together in about an hour and a half. All the kids in the neighborhood love to come play in it.
