Remember 2016

Well we had an adventurous 2016. New washer and dryer, new dog, new car, new finger for Kanyon, and the microwave gave out just this week. I have high hopes for next year and a new house! We kicked off the new year with normal craziness in activities, work and school. We made it out to Disneyland over spring break, Dinosaurland during the summer, Ayslind hiked Timp with Brent and I, and spent a much need relaxing weekend with family at their cabin. It has been an interesting year. The kids have grown at amazing rates and I wonder what happened to the simple life of little kids. Brent continues his work at the labs. He is now a study director 3 in Chemistry and loves learning and the growing opportunities. He has been loving the time with the kids and at home, taking vacations, and being in the mountains. Katie continues work at home. We are down to one kiddo at home part day and most of the time it is the quietest time in the house. She had a mid life crisis in August when she turned...

I am realizing how bad I am at this blogging thing. Honestly it is easier for me with a pen and paper:) Last night I went to my oldest first band concert. So many memories! What a throwback it was for me. I sat two rows behind a man who was in my first band class. So mcuh life has happened in the past 22 years. I wonder what will happen with my daughter in the next 22 years? She is so much better than I ever was at her age. She has such a light and happiness I never discovered in my youth. What a choice generation. What a privilage to witness it first hand in my home with 5 beautiful spirits from a loving Heavenly Father. What an opportunity to be able to see them grow and experience the challenges of their day. What a humbling experience when you see them choose to be like you when you feel so inadequet and unworthy of being an example. I love my children and I am so thankful that I have a loving Heavenly Father who saw fit to TRUST me with 5 of His beautiful spirits and be their guid...
