2019 review
You know the good thing about this blog is at least once a year I get on and update, haha! This has been a CrAZY year. We decided in November of last year it was time to move from our home of 9+ years. Three months later we were gone and it was a bit like ripping a bandaid off a wound. Our feelings were (to be honest still are) very raw leaving the comforts, friends, and familiarity of our community to a different one. Having children craziness and our own craziness has made it difficult to adjust and make friends. I just want people to understand that after we settle down (do we ever) I can be a normal person that is friendly. Anyway here is the review in a nutshell:
Brent is still at Nelson Labs and doing awesome! He has so far survived the company sell out and enjoys meeting and talking with people all over the world. I tell him all the time if they want to transfer him to Germany I’m in! He works like crazy and is a huge help with transferring kids here and there! Right now we are in hand off mode and he doesn’t complain. In the Fall he was promoted to Chemist 3. hero’s looking forward to learning to oversee a f run other parts of chemistry. He has also been running like crazy and I think I have finally convinced him to do a race with me this upcoming year! Watch for updates:)
Katie is Crazy, but we all knew that. After our move, we felt it best that I stay home with Kanyon for his last year before school. So I quit my job at Lehi Junior. I can’t just focus on one thing, so in April I applied for grad school and was accepted. In the fall while spending time with Kanyon, I just completed my first semester of grad school for school counseling. The next few years should be interesting (when are they not!).
Ayslind’s is amazing! She finished 9th grade at AF junior and began her summer in their high school marching band. Enough said. AF marching band has consumed our family! The band family has been amazing! This has been such a huge blessing in helping transition through our move and into high school. Ays turned 16 in November and is patiently waiting for her friends to grow up so she can go on dates:) she is a fantastic driver and we can’t wait to get her in our insurance and her own keys so she can drive herself and her siblings around the world (seriously I am in the car for up to 8 hours some days!). She loves her music, band, computer programming and German. She is taking some hard classes this first year of high school but is a smart well balanced kid, she’ll figure it all out. She loves seminary and is a devoted early morning goer to give herself more class options. Crazy how fast time flies!
Cyana is doing awesome! She finished up her last year at Lehi junior and is attending AF. She also is taking German and enjoying it. She does an amazing job on the oboe and thoroughly loves CT classes. She continues to Irish dance and is working hard to move up to preliminary championships. She also has been working like crazy to finish her personal progress by the end of the year to earn her medallion. She loves to help the younger Irish dance classes and is super excited about Star Wars everything! She is growing fast and determined ed to surpass Ays in height!
Bowyn is ten. His energy, jokes, emotions, and teasing keeps us all entertained. He just finished his faith in God, weeblos and arrow of light! He began Jujitsu over the summer and is growing and learning a lot. He particularly likes to meditate and does it nightly. He loves science and Perry Grip music that he loves to entertain us with. He is making lots of new friends in the neighborhood and is known at school as the “nice kid.” He is growing and learning fast. He also enjoys making up his own music on the computer, creating slide shows, writing stories, and coding. He also lives watching Star Wars rebels.
Lyvian turned 8 this year and was baptized just a few months after we moved. She was so excited to have friends from the old neighborhood and the new come. She has been working hard In her first year of Irish dance. She likes to have Cyana help her practice and she is very particular about doing it just right. She is a wonderful student and is really enjoying the large number of girls in the neighborhood that are her age. She works hard to learn and is a motivated student. She also loves to Play the piano and read. She is a sweet heat and the first to offer a hug to those in need.
Kanyon turned five and is getting ready to go to school. He works at learning on his rusty and rosy, but really just loves watching wild Kraters and then playing with siblings the second they walk inter door. He is a funny kid and defines the spoiled youngest. He is loved very much by everyone, we squish him too much he says. He loves animals and legos, what a boy!
There we are. The family in a Crazy mit Shell! In to 2020, May your vision be clear!
