The table before the feast.
We had a great Thanksgiving. As always we split it between both sides of the family. We spent the early afternoon with his family at his sister Sharolyn's house in West Point. The food was of course delicious. Everyone from Brent's family was there, except for Jeanette's family. The Sunday before we had a pie party and everyone was at that. We were lucky to see everyone so often this holiday season. After pie and visiting with Brent's family we drove back to American Fork to visit with my fam. It was the first time in a few years that everyone was there. It was good to see my brothers. Happily everything went smoothly (yeah our family!). The only sad thing about having dinner at other peoples home is that we don't get the leftovers.
Friday we spent most of the day decorating for "the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." The girls were really excited. Ayslind is starting to remember ornaments. That is fun since each one of our ornaments has a story.
Brent, on the other hand, was not excited about having to be the one to dig in the closet and then reorganize everything once we were done. He is always a good sport and always puts the lights on the tree for me (the worst part about decorating)! After decorating we went to a few stores to look around and discovered there really was no point to that other than getting depressed about spending money. Saturday we hung out at home, then went to some more family stuff. By Sunday the girls, Brent, and I were exhausted. Ayslind slept until around 10:15am. We then went to Shelley's for a post Thanksgiving turkey meal. By the time Monday came I was so happy to have a normal schedule. Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgivings, gobble, gobble, gobble!
