Temple Square at Christmas

On Suday after dinner we headed up to Temple Square in hopes of listening to the devotional in the Tabernacle. We caught all of the fun traffic and had a difficult time finding a place to park. Luckily the free two hour parking was available a t all of the meters.  We got to park a couple of blocks away.  FYI: it is free to ride the traxs from the library to the Delta Center, so we hopped on traxs for a fun train ride down to the temple.  We missed sitting in the tabernacle, so we took the girls on a tour of the lights and the visitor center. The manger scene was beautiful.  They did not have the commentary going because of the devotional. They took and put the manger scene  on main street into the reflection pool this year.  That was really neat to see.  They had all of the wise men and the shepherds on the grass surrounding the manger scene.

The girls were pretty tired, but Ayslind kept saying she couldn't believe all of the lights.  It was fun to answer her questions about all of the statues and things too.  We rode the traxs back to our car and when we got home we made hot chocolate and watched the rebroadcast of the devotional.
