Our First Day of 2009

We had a fun New Year. Every year Brent's family gathers in the mountains for some sledding and fun extended family reunion time. This year my mom called me on New Year's Eve to ask if we were going sledding the next day. I said yes and she quickly asked if she could come. In a surprised voice I said yes if she wanted to. She then informed me that the night before while Ayslind was visiting they were talking about what they were going to do on New Year's day. My dad was born on New Year's, so my mom said that she would spend it with him. Ayslind said that she was going sledding and my mom animatedly told her how fun that sounded. Ayslind got a little smug and my mom asked her what the matter was. Ayslind told my mom that she couldn't go sledding. My mom asked why. Ayslind said because she is to old. So Grandma decided to prove that she was not to old to go sledding. Here is the proof.
Not only did she sled, but she was happy about it also. Now here is the truth. She lasted about an hour and a half and spent a lot of time wet and regretting that she agreed stating she would really be in a lot of pain the next day.

My dad came along as the photographer and I took videos. Not all of these pictures are exactly my fault for embarrassment. The girls also really enjoyed sledding with Brent who is always the go getter when it comes to snow or anything in the mountains. He and Ayslind just kept going and going and going and , well you get the idea.Cyana sometimes was found waiting patiently sitting in the snow for her turn with Daddy. She soon found other people to entertain her interests. That is the best part about lots of family around, there is always someone to play with.
Well we all had a lot of fun. I look forward to my sledding opportunities coming in February!
