Soooo, we still don't have pictures because we don't have our own Internet and it is really annoying. So here is the update. We moved in August thinking that our house and money would go through in a couple of weeks. So we imposed on family for a couple of weeks, then three weeks. We moved to other family hoping that any day the funding would come through. Two months later the funding came through. It was an extremely frustrating bitter process. Two weeks after the funding we finally closed on our house. The sellers were still living there and we had to go in and help them move out on the Saturday after closing, because we NNNEEEEDDDDED OUR HOUSE!! Once we moved all of our stuff in we then had to paint and do a bit of fixing up around everything, That is where we are presently. Still painting and fixing up. We had to completely remodel the pantry before we could put anything away. All of the upstairs needed to be repainted. We now only have the bathroom and kitchen left. The basement, well that is a winter long project. We have a play room, it needs to be painted. The laundry/storage, needs to be separated, the office has some horrific stuccoing and we are in to process of fixing that. After months of worry and being under contract and expecting the house since August, we are finally in. Do I ever want to buy another home.....NEVER! The process was emotionally, physically, spiritually, and mentally draining. Drag that out for a few months and I wonder who I am anymore and why we ever complained about our mold ridden two bedroom apartment. We are hoping that by next year we will feel comfortable inviting a few of you (who are non judgemental) to come and view the home. In about 10 years if the rest of you are still in contact, we may feel comfortable having you come in and see OUR home, not someone Else's. A bit of sarcasm for the end of a VERY frustrating few months.
Good things that came of this. We have a house that is twice as big as our apartment. We have a wonderful Realtor. We finally can spend money that we have been saving for the past 5 years!
PS Pictures and updates on the improvement process coming as soon as we have time.
