So we made it to Cedar City. We got our tent thrown up and then Brent, Ayslind, and I ran to "Pride and Prejudice." Ayslind enjoyed it and we even got a little pampered. Right as the lights went down one of the ushers came and offered Ayslind a couple of pillows so that she could see better. She was very flattered. We enjoyed the play, so much better than the modern one with Kiara Knightly (yuck), but not as well done as the BBC version with Collin Firth. Still entertaining and at least they got the characters right. We enjoyed Mr. Collins being "mmmmorrrrtified." Very fun play. After it ended we headed out to eat dinner. We ate at Sizzler, which normally you can't go wrong, but apparently the Cedar City one hasn't been inspected lately, the salad bar was horrific. After dinner we headed over to the Greenshow. We thought we were done for the day, but my mom was curious about ticket prices so she went to ask about the shows. Long story short, we found out that one of our plays was for that night not Tuesday like we thought, so luckily we didn't miss it. I am very happy that we didn't miss that play because it ended up being my favorite. "Much Ado about Nothing." Excellent casting, very entertaining. The atmosphere was also a blast watching the play in the remake of the Globe theater eating pastries. Best date Brent and I have had for a long time. We didn't get back to camp until 11pm where we found that our tent had been somewhat put together and my sweet mother had put our kids to bed, thanks mom!
The next morning we found that our neighbor girl scout campers were leaving, they had a far more shady spot, so as soon as they left, we moved camp. My parents had been in Vegas all the week before and arrived one night before us. My dad was determined that the heat would not bother him, so he brought his air conditioner with him. Hey unlimited use of electricity, why not! We also had our dutch ovens, and a small grill at our campsite. The fire pit was in the center of all of the campsites so not very convenient for use. We also needed a clothes line to hang our clothes after we had been swimming or showered, so we hung one. On the last day my brother decided to read the pamphlet they gave us and it says in bold letters,
no clothes lines will be hung! Oh well!
