2014 review
Wow it is hard to remember all the way back to January of this year. So many things have happened and changed it is hard to keep up. Our family is crazy, like normal. We started out the year thinking we had a couple of surgeries to look forward to. Instead we found out we were going to be having number five and all other things got put on hold. Let's start with Brent.
Brent is still working at nelson labs, but continues to get more responsibility adding yo his busy crazy schedule. The good thing is that he can flex his time to work whenever he wants so that is very nice. He also had alot of built up PTO so we got a lot of family time toward the end of the year. He has really been enjoying his new camera. He loves to take it on his hikes. He has been to some beautiful places and has taken some great pictures.
I got to coach softbal with my sister this last spring. It was a lot of fun to be with the varsity team going to St. George and traveling all over utah. I was released from young women's in January and now get to teach the 11 year olds. I love it!!! Mostly I spent the year growing a baby and chasing the other four around.
Ayslind has suddenly entered preteens and keeps us laughing. She started at new charter school this school year and made it on a AA soccer team. She has been VERY busy with school and new friends. She loves the new school and is doing well. She has really enjoyed getting her first paid jobs as babysitter and is s great help in our home! She enjoys her soccer team and is a key defender.
Cyana had a big year as she chose to be baptized this year. She loves to read her scriptures and is such a good little missionary. She also has continued to excel in her Irish dancing. She competed this year in two feis and placed in the top three at 10/11 dances. She was invited to compete in a multistate feis but it would have been when we were having a baby. She will get go compete next year. She has done amazing and it is so fun to watch her, she enjoys it so much. She is doing well at her new school and loves activity days.
Bowyn had a big year as he began the year doing an at home preschool called upstart. He did amazing and graduated in July. He began kindergarten this year and loves school, just ask him! He loves to learn about anything in nature. He loves animals and nonfiction books. He is incredible imaginative and loves to write stories. He was so excited about the baby coming and is such a proud big brother!
Lyvi has grown up so much. She is so fun to watch and is so lively. She loves to play with Bowyn and cyana. She loves dinosaurs and dress up. She loves to go places alone with mom or dad. She has started her learning times and loves to do whatever the older kids are doing!
Little Kanyon joined us the end of September. He is such a sweet little boy and is so loved by everyone. He recently started smiling at us and giggling. We can hardly believe that he will be three months on Christmas.
We have been so blessed with a year full of family. Brent's brother and family moved home from the Midwest. My brother returned from his mission in Ohio. We were able to go on a family trip to San Diego with my sister and brother. We have been working on our home and yard, but that almost feels like a constant thing:)
Mostly we love craziness and live it daily. We look forward to more this new year. Merry Christmas to all of you! As the year comes to a close may you feel the savior in your lives and remember all that he has done for each of us!
